Booster seats and the Beauty Salon

Booster seats and the Beauty Salon

Hello shortgirls, I have to start out by saying that I absolutely love the Salon that I patronize. I also hate to admit that I am there quite often, about every two weeks to get my gel manicure, it’s the one thing I treat myself to regularly. The girls at the Salon are a riot!  There is never a dull moment and I look forward to my regular visits. When I first started going it was all about getting my nails done and then after a few years, I started having my hair done too.  One-stop shopping is always much easier. Teri does my nails and Danielle does my hair. Besides being absolutely hysterical, these lovely ladies are also very accommodating. So when I was making a hair appointment they suggested I have my nails done at the same time, saving me time so I could get home and of course cook and clean for my family, LOL!

What a great idea and it was!  I would sit at the nail table with Teri and then Danielle would stand behind me and tend to my hair.  There was only one small problem, I was too short!! I wasn’t the right height for Danielle to properly do my hair.  Well, these gals didn’t miss a beat they just got out the booster seat, yes, that’s right a booster seat.  Now I’ve sat on my fair share of phone books and pillows, but it’s been a really long since I’ve been on a booster seat.  Sure enough, it did the trick and I was out of there just in time to get home and make dinner!

My booster seat story reminded me of another booster seat incident that occurred just a few years ago.  I was out to dinner with my parents and my shortgirl mother asked for a booster seat. You should have seen the hostess’s face! ( we didn’t have anyone in our party that needed a booster seat, or so I thought. I have to admit that I was really scared when she did this, was she going to sit on it? Nope, she put it on the floor and put her feet on it!  Genius idea mom! No more dangling legs!  Do you have a new use for a booster seat?  I’d love to hear from you!  Stay safe shortgirls.  Short but mighty, shortgirls rule!
